Carolyn Cahn didn’t follow the typical path of a registered nurse. After years of focusing on patient education in traditional healthcare settings, she found herself drawn to a question that conventional medicine couldn’t fully answer: What happens when someone’s biggest health obstacle is their own mind?
With a background that includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master’s degree in Health Care Services Administration, and certification as an occupational health nurse, Cahn has built a practice that merges clinical knowledge with psychology. She’s trained in neurolinguistic programming, hypnotherapy, and coaching—credentials earned through study with well-known figures including Dr. A.M. Krasner, Tad James, Tony Robbins, and Dean Graziosi. Her holistic coaching approach for women business owners draws from techniques like Reiki, IEMT, and tapping to address what she sees as the root of many professional struggles: negative self-talk.
The Self-Talk Problem
“It’s yourself that’s stopping you,” Cahn explains in describing her work. “It’s the things that you’re saying to yourself in your head all the time.” She points to a common pattern: when something goes wrong, people reflexively tell themselves they’re dumb or stupid. The repetition, she argues, creates neural pathways that reinforce the belief. Eventually, the person accepts it as truth and stops trying.

Her integrated coaching methodology targets women entrepreneurs specifically, examining eight areas of life—including religion, relationships, and happiness alongside career goals. Rather than offering generic advice, she works with clients to understand what they’ve already tried and why those attempts failed. She calls herself a “dream creator,” helping people articulate not just what they want, but why they want it.
Beyond Traditional Coaching
What distinguishes Cahn’s practice is the medical foundation underneath the coaching framework. As a certified Master Practitioner in neurolinguistic programming and a certified Master Hypnotherapist, she maintains professional certifications through multiple associations. This dual expertise—clinical and psychological—allows her to identify when physical health intersects with mental blocks.

The work is highly individualized. Cahn emphasizes getting clients “clear on what they want” rather than delivering repetitive information common in coaching circles. The goal is to help women entrepreneurs move past the point where they’re stuck, whether that’s launching a business, scaling operations, or simply believing they’re capable of more.
Looking ahead, Cahn has set her sights on expanding her reach. She aims to help thousands of women entrepreneurs succeed in both business and life goals—a mission that requires breaking down the internal narratives that keep people from even attempting what they’re capable of achieving.
For someone trained in the precision of nursing, the work requires a different kind of diagnosis. Instead of prescribing medication, her client-centered coaching practice focuses on rewiring the voice in someone’s head—the one that says “I can’t” instead of “I can.”
